Dane and Stephanie Winchester
We have been fishing out of Garibaldi for many years, eventually buying a house in Rockaway Beach since we were here so often. In 2020 we moved to Rockaway full-time, and love being a few minutes from the marina. We fished from a 20′ Duckworth for years before upgrading to a Hewescraft 240 Pacific Cruiser we purchased from Greg’s Marine Service in 2018. That was the original “Game Changer” and truly changed the fishing game for us, opening up many more opportunities including deep reef and our favorite, Albacore Tuna fishing. The new Game Changer has stepped up our game, winning the Big Fish Friday of the Oregon Tuna Classic.

Dane worked for Boeing for nearly 20 years before starting a software company. When COVID hit, he sold his company and is now focused on building houses as a General Contractor in the Rockaway Beach area. He hopes at some point to be a guide, sharing the love of fishing on the Pacific Ocean. He has been on the Port of Garibaldi Budget Committee the last couple years and is on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Tuna Classic Tuna Tournament.
